The Power of Professional Networks: How NAFCC Empowers Providers
Attending the NAFCC annual conference has been a pivotal part of my journey toward becoming a provider coach and finding my voice in the early childhood education community. The conference gave me access to high-quality training, current research, and best practices that have significantly deepened my understanding of the field. Engaging with fellow professionals and thought leaders not only expanded my knowledge, but also strengthened my confidence and leadership skills. This experience has empowered me to support other childcare providers more effectively, offering guidance, sharing resources, and helping them navigate challenges with the insight I’ve gained through the NAFCC network.

As a home daycare provider coach, I now draw on my own experiences to support and guide newly licensed providers as they establish their programs. For example, I recently assisted a provider in preparing for her licensing inspection by ensuring her home met all compliance standards. This included verifying that all required documents were completed and visibly posted, her parent handbook was thorough and complete, the childcare environment was set up safely and appropriately, and all administrative files were accurate and up-to-date.
My goal is to help providers feel confident and well-prepared as they build high-quality, compliant childcare programs. By sharing the knowledge and confidence I’ve gained from the NAFCC community, I can help new providers lay a strong foundation for their success and, most importantly, for the children in their care.
