NAFCC 2025: A Journey of Inspiration and Connection

The NAFCC 2025 Conference was a transformative experience that reaffirmed my dedication to early childhood education and strengthened my professional network. The energy was palpable from the moment I arrived, and I was immediately welcomed into a vibrant community of passionate educators.

The keynote address by Sonia Manzano of Sesame Street set an inspiring tone, emphasizing the importance of advocacy and resilience. I then dived into a variety of workshops, gaining practical knowledge on everything from curriculum development to self-care, with a special focus on building diverse communities through caucuses.

Beyond the formal sessions, the conference was a testament to the power of connection. I had the pleasure of meeting over 30 fellow Michiganders, and we’ve since committed to staying in touch and collaborating to strengthen family childcare in our state. The networking, awards gala, and exhibit hall all contributed to a deep sense of belonging and a shared mission.

I left the conference with new ideas, resources, and a renewed sense of purpose. The connections I made and the insights I gained have empowered me to become a more effective provider coach, offering guidance and support to other educators. My experience at NAFCC 2025 was a powerful reminder that family childcare is not just a job, but a calling, and I am grateful to be a part of this incredible community.
